This service is designed for individuals with healthy feet and toenails who genuinely find it challenging to manage their personal footcare. While primarily catering to older individuals, eligibility extends to those with learning or physical disabilities, visual or cognitive impairments, and conditions like arthritis or breathlessness.

To get started, you’ll need to purchase an equipment pack from your practitioner for £8, which they will use during each visit.

The current charges for our podiatry service are:

£25.00 toes only
£28.00 nails and toes at the same time

Payment is expected at the time of treatment, either in cash or by cheque payable to Assist Teignbridge.

People Who Should Not Access This Service

This nail cutting service is NOT SUITABLE for people who have one or more of the following:-

• Diabetes
• Poor circulation
• Past surgery to arteries in legs or feet
• Severely thickened, deformed or painful toenails
• Severe foot or toe deformities
• Recurrent foot infection requiring antibiotic therapy

Note: To access our service, it’s important that your feet are in good health, and toenails are not severely thickened or deformed. Even if you have corns or calluses, you can still benefit from our nail cutting service, although we won’t be able to treat these specific foot conditions. Our practitioners, though not qualified podiatrists, have received training from NHS podiatrists and are adept at uncomplicated nail cutting.
